VAT Manager Job Opportunity

Our organization is seeking an ambitious VAT Manager to join its expanding team. This individual will be responsible for providing VAT support on tax advisory services to clients, as well as advising on all relevant VAT issues.

This role presents a unique chance for someone driven and eager to progress in their career. The successful candidate will collaborate with directors and partners, leveraging their expertise to develop and grow our indirect tax service offering.

To be considered for this position, you will require a relevant tax, legal, or accountancy qualification, and at least five years of experience working within VAT in a professional environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team providing tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Collaborate with partners and directors to enhance our indirect tax service offering.
  • Advise on tax structuring and advisory projects.
  • Interact with international networks on queries arising to the firm.
  • Delegate work to and manage junior team members.
  • Manage a wide portfolio of clients.
  • Oversee project management and ensure targets are met.

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience required as a Chartered Tax Advisor; Big 4/Top 10 firm or legal practice preferred.
  • Extensive experience in advising on all aspects of VAT.
  • A thorough knowledge of VAT and relevant legislation.
  • Confidence in dealing with people (including clients), excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A self-starter with ability to use initiative and to prioritize with excellent time management skills.
