Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our team.

This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation projects, including rail lines, light railways, motorways, public transport facilities, rural roads, cycleways, and pedestrian schemes.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and at least four years' experience in the design or construction of civil engineering projects.

They will also possess good knowledge of Transport Infrastructure Ireland Publications and the National Highways Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB).

Other key skills and qualifications include:

  • Good knowledge of the Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS), the Traffic Signs Manual, the Cycle Design Manual, and the Traffic Management Guidelines Manual.
  • Good knowledge of construction procurement processes.
  • Basic knowledge of the planning application process.
  • Experience in preparing reports.
  • Experience in implementing quality procedures and maintaining records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
