Commercial Director for Infrastructure Projects

The Commercial Director will lead the commercial delivery of multiple infrastructure projects in the Midlands. This role demands strong commercial leadership, strategic collaboration, and analytical insight, offering a defined progression path towards a senior management position.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies for assigned projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess viability and inform decision-making.
- Manage cost control processes, including cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and forecasting across all project phases.
- Oversee the preparation and agreement of valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Provide regular cost/value reports, updating stakeholders on risk, opportunities, and overall commercial performance.
- Mentor and supervise junior commercial staff, supporting their professional growth.
- Collaborate effectively with pre-construction, design, and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial director role within infrastructure projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract administration.
- Proven record of providing commercial leadership on contracts valued at over €5M.
- Able to lead teams and positively influence commercial outcomes among diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in cost reporting, valuations, claims preparation, and contract negotiations.
