DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to be a hands-on member of the DevOps & Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) practice using Red Hat OpenShift AI for a key public sector client in Ireland. This role involves building, maintaining and optimizing DevOps/MLOps pipelines that power AI-driven models.

The ideal candidate is a pragmatic problem solver who is proficient in DevOps and looking to develop skills in MLOps. The role requires an on-site hybrid presence in Dublin 2-3 days per week.

• Provide operations support for a Kubernetes-based container platform in a large-scale environment.
• Support multi-stack development teams through each stage of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with automated deployments, release planning, and troubleshooting in both non-production and production clusters.
• Maintain user management with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Active Directory (AD) integration.
• Implement regular patch updates to Kubernetes, base images, and node management in a controlled and automated process.
• Troubleshoot Route, Ingress, Service, and networking issues on the Kubernetes software-defined network.
• Support monitoring and effective service uptime management in a 24/7 environment.

• Demonstrate experience supporting multi-cluster OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• Perform OpenShift cluster administrative operations, such as scaling nodes, upgrading, and granting permissions to users and groups.
• Configure OpenShift namespaces, network policies, resource quotas, and node selectors.
• Work with observability tooling, specifically Prometheus, Grafana ELK, and related technologies.
• Manage Kubernetes Operators life-cycle management, custom resource configuration, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot Route, Ingress, Service, and networking issues on Kubernetes-based SDN.
• Experience supporting underlying infrastructure components for TCP/IP networks, including DHCP and DNS services.
• Implement GitOps management for deployments, configuration, and state management for clusters.
• Automate CI/CD processes and adhere to industry standards for DevOps principles.
• Work in agile-based environments, analyzing and reporting incidents proactively while seeking continuous improvements.
• Support Kubernetes storage with file, block, PVC, Object Storage, and knowledge of Ceph, Noobaa, ODF, or OpenShift Container Storage.
