Key Account Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Key Account Manager to join our team and drive revenue growth across the Irish market.
This is a permanent role that offers a variety of tailor-made solutions in distribution, sales, and marketing for representing manufacturers of OTC, supplements, pharmaceutical, skincare, and beauty products.
The ideal candidate will have experience building strong relationships with strategic customers and be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company's solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.
The successful candidate will work with the entire product portfolio in our OTC & Supplements categories and have the freedom to create and develop strong customer relations with existing and new B2B clients across various channels.
The Pharmacy Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing relationships with our key customers, driving revenue growth and increasing market share of products by:
- Delivering exceptional product education to pharmacy teams through effective collaboration.
- Activating trade marketing and promotional opportunities to maximize sales growth.
- Maintaining pricing records and implementing price increases as required.
- Reviewing promotions regularly and monitoring ROI.
- Analyzing account performance and forecasting demand based on trends, seasonality, and promotions.
- Developing sales strategies for pharmacy products in conjunction with the Commercial Director, establishing budgets and revenue targets to meet national sales goals.
- Managing key accounts by creating annual plans and engaging with key customers and opinion leaders to ensure optimal engagement.
- Acquiring new accounts in target markets.
- Collaborating with Sales Managers and the Central team on sales and marketing initiatives.
- Working with brand partners and principals on joint projects.
- Maintaining external awareness of markets, products, processes, and competitors.
- Keeping customer trackers up to date for key brands and products.
- Owning trading and strategic relationships with customers to grow your portfolio.
The essential skills and qualifications for this role include:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in customer development and key account management in the pharmacy & FMCG sector.
- Strong P&L and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing successful business plans with key customers at head office level.
- Financial competence and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
