Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced chef to join our team in a respected healthcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with dietary and nutritional guidelines.
  • Lead or support kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP protocols.
  • Oversee food storage, stock rotation, and waste minimisation.
  • Monitor portion control, food presentation, and allergen awareness.
  • Collaborate with dietitians and clinical teams on meal planning.
  • Maintain a clean, compliant, and organised kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a healthcare or high-volume catering setting.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cook-chill processes.
  • Legal Right to Work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
  • Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Flexible for weekday and weekend shifts on a rota basis.
