Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our manufacturing team as a specialist. This role will involve working closely with engineers to develop and optimize work processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous progress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be able to apply process improvement skills using Six-Sigma tools to address manufacturing issues.

  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can analyze data and trends for planning and forecasting, and have a proven track record of delivering business objectives through effective project management.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with engineering leaders to deliver business objectives through engineering principles focused on quality, service, and cost
  • Apply process improvement and problem-solving skills using Six-Sigma tools to address manufacturing issues
  • Provide technical leadership on product and process issues, including performance management and line performance monitoring
  • Develop and implement supporting documentation, SOPs, and process work instructions compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Lead technical improvements under the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) and conduct Gage R&R studies for products and new processes
Requirements:
  • Level 8 degree in Engineering or related field
  • 0-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
  • Confident and effective decision maker with proven leadership ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Proven Project Management skills through delivery of business-critical projects
