Senior Structural Design Leader

This is a highly competitive opportunity for an ambitious and experienced structural engineer to lead our team in Dublin. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in spearheading projects from concept through to completion, providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers and technicians, and engaging with clients and stakeholders to develop strong working relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex structural design projects across various disciplines.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct detailed structural analysis and design in accordance with Eurocodes and Irish Building Regulations.
  • Review and approve design deliverables, drawings, and reports.
  • Engage with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to develop strong working relationships.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and services effectively.
  • Contribute to business development through proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional body.
  • 10+ years' experience in structural design and project delivery, ideally within consultancy.
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish/UK building regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., Tekla, Robot, Etabs, Tedds, or similar).
  • Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business development.
