Job Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Support Specialist to prepare and deliver specialized infant and child feeds according to strict dietetic guidelines in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
About the Position
- Deliver specialized infant and child feeds as per dietetic requirements.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control.
- Support the ward team with general catering duties such as kitchen upkeep, stock management, and cleaning tasks.
- Accurately record feed preparation and delivery times for future reference.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills are also essential for ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a catering, healthcare, or food preparation setting (hospital experience an advantage).
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- A patient-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and time management skills are crucial for success in this role.
