Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Contract Administrator to manage and oversee the administration of contracts for a construction project in Germany.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of German language and be open to regular travel to the client site in Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with client requirements, head contract terms, and project scope.
  • Assist in the procurement and tendering of contract works packages.
  • Assign packages to Contract Administrators to procure to award.
  • Evaluate and verify contract documents, ensuring timely execution and retention.
  • Collaborate with the construction manager to ensure contracts are managed and administered in accordance with project procedures, schedule, and budgets.
  • Ensure that contractors understand their contractual obligations and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to facilitate audits and reviews.
  • Oversee the implementation of Site Work Instructions and Site Variation Orders Procedures.
  • Coordinate the generation and review of payment certificates prior to issue for payment.
  • Facilitate monthly commercial meetings between Contract Administrators and contractors.
  • Assist in final account agreement and certificate issuance.
  • Contribute to the development of the monthly cost report for incorporation within the Construction Report.
  • Manage the contract close-out procedure and ensure proper documentation is kept.
Requirements
  • Degree-level education or equivalent qualification.
  • Additional professional qualifications beneficial.
  • At least 10 years' experience in contract administration.
  • Proven track record in contributing to project implementation and contractual strategies for large-scale projects.
  • Experience working on Life Sciences, Food, Mission Critical & Data-Centres projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to deliver accurate work under project deadlines.
