Design Manager

As a seasoned Design Manager, you will lead the design team and drive innovation by identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving alternatives.



About this Role:
  • Lead the Design Team: Oversee the design team, including external consultants and sub-contractors, to deliver exceptional results.
  • Value Engineering: Attend post-tender meetings with contractors to discuss value engineering and design solutions that meet client needs.
  • Commercial Acumen: Support project teams in design processes, leveraging commercial, contractual, and technical expertise.
  • Innovation: Investigate and implement alternative designs that result in cost savings or increased efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Present design alternatives to main contractors for approval.


Requirements:
  • Education: 3rd level education in building services engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in designing MEP installations is essential.
  • Track Record: Proven track record in a similar role is mandatory.
  • Licenses: Driving license is required.
