
Compassionate Home Support Specialist

This role requires you to provide support to our customers to help them live happily and safely at home. Your tasks may involve assisting with personal care, such as showering or bathing, dressing, incontinence care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:- Practice the latest safety procedures, including person moving and handling.
- Report any concerns related to customers or colleagues who are not working within safe boundaries to your manager.
- Document all tasks completed with the customer for each shift accurately and factually in the daily logs.
- Maintain confidentiality and attend scheduled training sessions provided by us.
- Perform each task with dignity and respect for the customer.
- Encourage autonomy and decision making.
- Talk with the customer throughout the shift, ensuring conversations remain professional.
- Attend shifts as scheduled and contact the office if unable to attend or late.
- QQI Level 5 Health Care Award or equivalent qualification is required.

- Assisting with mobility and exercise

- Familiarity with healthcare equipment and devices
- Time management and task prioritization
- Empathy and compassion
- Understanding and responding to emotional needs
- Effective teamwork within a healthcare team
- Supporting colleagues and maintaining a positive team environment

- Willingness to learn new skills and procedures

- One year of paid experience is preferred, but prior experience is not mandatory with QQI Level 5 qualification.
- Competitive hourly rate from €14.00 up to €20.00 depending on experience
