Cloud Solution Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Specialist to lead the technical delivery of medium to large scale enterprise projects. This role involves architecting, designing and building cloud solutions to business requirements in accordance with enterprise application and technology roadmaps.

The successful candidate will design, deploy and maintain cloud IaaS and PaaS services, ensuring best-practice and value for money are achieved within our environments. Direct liaison with operating companies, internal IT teams and third-party providers is also necessary.

  • Lead engineer/architect level individual who has seen & completed migrations of on-premise workloads to cloud platforms (AD, Exchange, Office 365).
  • Produce, review & sign-off on infrastructure, cloud and security designs including relevant project artefacts.
  • Lead the technical implementation of infrastructure, cloud and security solutions and projects.
  • Conduct in-depth environment analysis to identify new projects, improve processes and increase our security posture.
  • Identify emerging technologies which may be utilised to better deliver IT services.
  • Validate third-party infrastructure, cloud and security project proposals to ensure that they meet technical standards and business requirements.
  • Knowledge transfer & training to relevant service team.
  • Provide input into overall architecture and security roadmap.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related area.
  • Minimum 6 years technical experience in large enterprise IT environment.
  • A strong track record in technically leading the delivery of complex solutions.
  • Strong Microsoft Azure skillset including Azure Automation and PowerShell Scripting.
  • Developing migration strategies to move key application workloads into the cloud.
  • Strong security and risk skillset.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical & diagnostic skills with excellent attention to detail.
