Job Title: Legal Advisor

We are seeking an experienced legal advisor to join our team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will provide integrated regulatory, governance and legal advice to our business in Ireland.

This is a busy and strategically important role which delivers first-class legal advice and manages diverse client relationships across the UKI business.

The ideal candidate will have relevant post-qualifying experience with in-house, Financial Services/Regulatory experience ideally life assurance but experience in the wider financial services sector will be considered.

They must have an understanding of Pensions law and regulation as well as Trusts necessary.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice with support to all areas of the business, including in particular to the Technical and Customer Experience teams.
  • Assist the Head of Legal and wider legal team with identification and prudent management of legal, regulatory and reputational risk.
  • Ability work on own initiative, managing own workload and seeking to add valuable support to a busy legal team.
  • Provide general legal advice and assistance in relation to new business initiatives, programmes, services and products.
  • Commercial contract drafting/negotiation (agency/investment management/custody agreements etc.).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong personal presence with excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to influence effectively, build business relationships and gain the trust of senior executives.

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills are also essential, along with commercial experience and experience with Outsourcing.
