Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical strategy and development of Buffet, a design component library.
  • Champion best-in-class accessibility, performance, and internationalization across frontend surfaces.
  • Evolve Buffet to meet the needs of AI-assisted development, enabling safe and scalable component generation and usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business needs and product strategy.
  • Design and document scalable patterns, tooling, and abstractions to support experimentation and high-quality delivery.
  • Influence cross-team efforts around theming, responsive design, content surfaces, and shared UI frameworks.

Role Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience building and scaling web applications, with deep expertise in modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, CSS-in-JS).
  • Demonstrated leadership in building or maintaining component libraries or design systems.
  • Passion for frontend fundamentals - accessibility, animation, responsive design, and cross-browser behavior.
  • Strong systems thinking - able to anticipate scaling challenges, encourage reusability, and design for change.
  • Enthusiasm for the future of development - curiosity about AI-assisted coding, tooling, and emerging patterns.
  • Familiarity with analytics and A/B testing platforms.
  • Experience influencing product and design decisions through code and conversation.
