We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Shannon, Co. Clare.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about precision machining and thriving in a high-tech manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
2. Set up and adjust CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup.
3. Interpret technical drawings, models, and specifications.
4. Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure components meet tolerances.
5. Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to improve efficiency and accuracy.
6. Ensure compliance with quality standards and health & safety regulations.
7. Maintain documentation of programs, machine settings, and modifications.
8. Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.
9. Provide training and mentorship to junior machinists and operators.
10. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
11. Work in accordance with ISO/AS9100 and other relevant quality standards.
12. Work to tight tolerances and ensure output quality through self-inspection.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. At least 3 years of experience in 5-axis CNC machining preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming.
3. Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines is desirable but not essential.
4. Familiarity with Hypermill software is desirable but not essential.
5. Familiarity with Heidenhain controllers is desirable but not essential.
6. Ability to inspect parts using callipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
