What You Will Do

One of our strategic customers has initiated a transformation program, part of which involves consuming their SAP landscape of 130 systems as an enhanced private cloud model provided by SAP on RISE. To ensure the best level of service, a dedicated team has been established within SAP Enterprise Cloud Services to work closely with this strategic client. The goal of this team is to operate the entire customer SAP landscape and drive innovation adoption.

As a senior specialist in IT architecture, you will be responsible for:

• playing a key role in our customers' move to the cloud, where stability, a secure environment, and minimized downtime are key measures of success
• consulting with the customer to assist them in articulating their outcome-based requirements - this includes technical architecture and its supporting processes
• collaborating with internal partners to identify relevant standard solutions that can be rapidly deployed
• where required, innovating (architecting, designing, building, testing) a customer-specific solution, including the technical application or infrastructure stack and services

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

• a bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management
• expert-level experience in BASIS (> 10 years) and HANA (> 5 years)
• solid knowledge of SUSE and hyperscalers, including tools and processes (> 4 years; preferably with Pacemaker experience)
• the ability to take technical requirements, analyze them, identify existing solutions or architect new ones (> 2 years)
• solid know-how of SAP technologies and products (SAP certification beneficial)
• problem-solving skills, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
• excellent documentation skills, including creating comprehensive and organized documentation, including standards and procedures
• strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical details effectively to non-technical individuals using clear and concise language
• customer-focused: thriving in high-pressure situations and maintaining a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to customers
• 10 years of experience working in IT
• strong operations background, with recent architecture experience
• experience working in customer-facing roles
