
Private Equity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Equity Waterfall Expert to join our team in EMEA. This role will involve working with Business Development to design and implement the European Waterfall sales strategy, supporting the Business Development Sales Strategy globally, and collaborating with broader CFS Operations team to execute strategy.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the business and related experience within the specialized area, excellent leadership and team management skills, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, they should be able to design future state Waterfall toolkit, attract and develop talent, build out a specialized team, and engage with internal stakeholders to communicate the benefits and implications of transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Work with Business Development to design & implement the European Waterfall sales strategy
- Support the Business Development Sales Strategy globally, with a primary focus on Europe
- Design future state Waterfall toolkit (proprietary technology focusing on complex calculations, allocations, analytics - from Waterfall computations to liquidity calcs, scenario analysis, carry plans, bespoke client computations, etc.)
- Collaborate with broader CFS Operations team to execute strategy, including supporting the growth and development of our Waterfall Ancil service offering, supporting the growth of the Private Market business, specifically the EU region
- Attract and develop talent, build out a specialized team, to support the growth of the business, specific to the needs of the Waterfall and Transformation Office business
- Strong knowledge of the business and related experience within the specialized area (eg. Private Markets, Real Assets, Hedge, IR, Treasury, Middle Office etc.)
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and prioritize key areas for transformation, ensuring a strategic and cohesive approach
- Design and lead Waterfall toolkit development programs
- Engage with internal stakeholders to communicate the benefits and implications of transformation initiatives. Work closely with project teams to guide, teach, and impart specialized knowledge
- Assist with business requirements' sign-off, testing, and development sign-off for initiatives in your specialized area
- Work directly with Business Development to play an active role in client pitches by effectively demonstrating and communicating Transformations Office's expertise, best practices, and technological solutions
- Highlight areas of risk, contribute to meetings and overall project reporting via the project manager
- Maintain a proactive approach to staying up to date on industry changes and technology advancements
- 10+ years of industry experience
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experienced in leading business transformation initiatives (preferred)
- Strong understanding of technology trends and their application in industry
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans
- Ability to be creative and innovative, influence and persuade
- Professional Certificate, Bachelor, Master level degree ideally
- Client facing experience in financial service industry (preferred)
