Senior Social Worker - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

Our multidisciplinary team in North Dublin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Worker to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This exciting opportunity involves providing specialist mental health support to children, adolescents, and their families.

  • We are looking for an experienced professional with expertise in psychosocial assessments, risk evaluations, and therapeutic interventions.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing tailored care plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions. You will work closely with clinicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for young people facing complex mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct detailed psychosocial and risk assessments to inform care planning.
  2. Develop and deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
  3. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  4. Liaise with external agencies, including schools and community organisations, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  5. Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A recognised social work qualification and CORU registration.
  • A minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with at least one year in a mental health setting.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families facing complex mental health challenges.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
