Job Title: Animal Health Professional

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Animal Health Professional to provide high-quality care to animal patients at an independent Veterinary Hospital in Dublin.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the nursing team, supporting their veterinary surgeons and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent nursing care to animal patients.
  • Assisting veterinarians during consultations and surgical procedures.
  • Monitoring anaesthesia.
  • Administering medications and treatments.
  • Performing diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, urinalysis).
  • Taking radiographs.
  • Preparing animals for surgery.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Providing compassionate care to patients and their owners.
  • Assisting with reception duties as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhering to all relevant veterinary regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
  • Ideally experienced RVN but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A genuine passion for animal care.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Competent in all aspects of general nursing duties.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary (£30,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience).
  • Flexible working hours (4 days x 10 hours or 5 days x 8 hours).
  • Regular weekend off (1 weekend in 5, with days off before and after).
