The role of Store Manager is a leadership position that involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a large retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth store operations.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced retail manager who can lead a team, drive sales growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of approximately 20 staff members
- Delivering high standards of customer service across all areas of the store
- Driving sales growth and meeting performance targets
- Oversight of stock control, deliveries, and floor merchandising
- Managing store operations, including cash handling, staffing rotas, and compliance
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail management role
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills
- Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with KPIs, rotas, and budgets
- A background or interest in books, gifting, or lifestyle retail is beneficial
