Design and Engineering Specialist
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Design and Engineering Specialist.
About the Role:
- This is a key position within our organization, responsible for delivering high-quality designs and engineering solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients to understand their design requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Review and prepare detailed designs and reports using computer software.
- Procure site investigation, building, and civil engineering contracts as necessary.
- Assist project managers in preparing tender documents and assessments.
- Administer construction contracts to ensure design requirements, project schedules, and outcomes are achieved.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and able to develop skills in AutoCAD 3D and Building Information Modelling (BIM).
- Aptitude to learn other software packages such as Microsoft Project, MicroDrainage, and GIS software packages like ArcGIS and MapInfo.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts and relevant software packages.
