Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles.

The Role

This role involves the service and repair of HGVs, covering engines, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems, and specialist equipment. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of HGV systems, diagnostics, and repair, as well as skills in fault-finding and the use of diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Service and repair HGVs to ensure they meet safety and legal standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults using tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Prepare vehicles for inspections and maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Support roadside breakdowns and collaborate with the workshop team to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. A full driving license (HGV license desirable) and proficiency in spoken and written English are essential.
