Job Title:
Financial Reporting Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Creation and analysis of monthly financial reports including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss.
- Preparation and review of statutory financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaboration with external auditors for periodic and year-end review procedures to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Coordination with tax specialists and advisors to guarantee compliance with all external reporting requirements including VAT, corporation tax, and other relevant regulations.
- Assistance in meeting SOX compliance and reporting requirements.
- Preparation, analysis, and posting of journals at month end to maintain accurate financial records.
- Analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts at month end to identify any discrepancies.
- Ensuring adherence to corporate policies and accounting standards.
- Improvement of existing processes and development of new ones to optimize financial operations and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA equivalent) with strong technical accounting skills and expertise.
- Third Level Degree or equivalent qualification.
- 0-5 years relevant experience preferably in a shared service centre and multinational corporation environment.
- Proficiency in SAP/Oracle or other major ERP systems is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong computer skills especially MS Office applications.
