Job Title: Hotel Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Director to lead the management of a four-star hotel. This is a busy, full-service property with strong leisure business and extensive meeting and event facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the highest standards of service quality and operational efficiency throughout all departments.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures throughout the hotel.
  • Ensure cost control and profit maximization of all operational centers within the hotel.
  • Develop and motivate members of staff to achieve objectives set.
  • Ensure sound conduct of the business with a positive management approach.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience in a similar position, brand experience advantageous. Must have a proven track record of successfully planning and operating total hotel budgets, demonstrating excellent knowledge of market trends and competitive set.

Candidate attributes include:

  • Strong numeric, literacy, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, hotel management software).
  • Able to work under pressure and within strict deadlines by fostering a strong sense of proactivity and result orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for dealing and building personable relationships with internal and external guests.
  • Able to develop good working relationships with all departmental managers and members of staff.
  • Able to build amicable and personable business relationships with clients, guests, and staff.
  • Act as hotel ambassador, demonstrating professionalism and integrity at all times.
