Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Location: Dublin, Ireland

  • Conduct routine and specialized microbiological analyses including culture, identification, and susceptibility testing of clinical specimens.
  • Maintain adherence to ISO 15189 standards and internal quality control protocols.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams and laboratory personnel to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic results.
  • Record and analyze data, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification recognized by regulatory bodies.
  • Licensure or registration with the relevant authority.
  • Post-qualification experience in clinical microbiology.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated microbiology systems (e.g., MALDI-TOF, BD Phoenix, VITEK).
  • Prior locum experience in Ireland.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and antimicrobial stewardship.
