Concrete Design Specialist

ATG seeks a skilled Concrete Design Specialist to join an engineering team in North Dublin. In this role, you will design and detail precast concrete elements for various construction projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in structural design and experience in precast concrete. Key responsibilities include developing detailed designs and specifications, creating technical drawings and models, and coordinating with project stakeholders.

Key qualifications include a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and proficiency in CAD software and BIM tools. Strong knowledge of building codes and structural design principles is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively are also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs and specifications for precast concrete elements
  • Create and review technical drawings, models, and design documents
  • Coordinate closely with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure design meets project requirements and safety standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams during the manufacturing process
  • Conduct site visits to assess design implementation and address any technical issues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in precast design and structural engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, Tekla, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, structural design principles, and best practices for precast concrete
