We are seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join our team in direct settlement injury claims. As a key member of our claims handling team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims from registration to settlement.

In this role, you will ensure that all claim handling activities are carried out in a proactive, innovative, and compliant manner. This includes managing Motor Liability, Employer Liability, Public Liability injury/damage, and Personal Accident claims.

Your duties will involve providing first telephone contact for customers, ensuring accurate decisions on claim outcomes, targeting claims for direct settlement with policyholders, and managing claims within the Injuries Board process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first telephone contact for customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensure accurate decisions on claim outcomes.
  • Target claims for direct settlement with policyholders.
  • Manage claims within the Injuries Board process.
  • Liaise with legal defence teams, expert witnesses, and service providers as necessary.
  • Identify and proactively handle recovery opportunities and fraud aspects.

Requirements

  • AAPA Qualification in both Personal and Commercial Insurance.
  • Strong customer service skills and technical knowledge of liability claims handling.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and claims portfolios.
  • Highly analytical and organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
