Job Description

We are seeking a senior electrical supervisor to lead our electrical operations team.

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the day-to-day management of the electrical function, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity from all plant equipment through planned preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and modifications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full support to production 24/7, while also ensuring that all electricians are suitably trained in safety and work to company and legislative safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out duties in accordance with the company's health and safety policies
  • Manage the function in a way that reflects industry best practices while providing effective leadership
  • Plan, direct and manage the electrical function safely
  • Ensure corrective action is taken for all equipment and operational problems
  • Drive continuous improvement in the Plant
  • Provide adequate training to build on skill levels within the team, raising competency levels and ensuring flexibility and multi-skilling
  • Operate effectively with other Engineering functions to ensure overall performance of the Engineering department and the plant
  • Stay up-to-date with new equipment processes relevant to our industry
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Electrical trade qualification
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • PLC control programs experience
  • Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley programming/product experience
  • Previous continuous improvement experience
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Good analytical skills – ability to interpret drawings
  • Fluent English language skills
