Empowering Student Success: Intervention Teacher Role

As an Intervention Teacher, you play a vital role in supporting students who require additional help to improve their reading and math skills. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to identify the needs of these students and develop strategies to support them.

Job Description:

The Intervention Teacher is responsible for providing guidance and support to teachers on developing and implementing student assistance programs. This includes maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing regular updates to teachers and administrators.

You will also collect and analyze data to inform instruction and identify areas where students need extra support. To meet the diverse needs of students, you will use evidence-based instructional strategies and materials.

Additionally, you will model effective intervention strategies in the classroom and share best practices with colleagues. Collaboration with teachers and administrators is essential to monitor student progress and make data-driven decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A valid teaching certificate in elementary education or a related area.
  • A minimum of three years of experience teaching elementary students.
  • A master's degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Leadership experience, including presenting to groups and developing new materials.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of best practices in literacy and numeracy instruction.
