Water Network Improvement Delivery is a pivotal role within our organization, where Civil Resident Engineers play a key part in overseeing the successful execution of projects. This involves collaborating with regional contractors to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery. Additionally, liaison with local authorities is crucial for facilitating smooth project execution.

The engineer will be responsible for conducting HSQE audits and managing related issues. Work orders and service requests will also be processed efficiently by this role. Furthermore, reviewing and approving as-laid drawings are an integral part of this position. Collaboration with design engineers to clarify project details will also take place regularly. The resident engineer will address complaints and provide feedback to regional leads and IW teams. Attendance at meetings with contractors and IW teams is essential. Maintaining accurate records and creating lists of snags are key responsibilities.

Before work commences, site visits will be conducted to identify potential issues. The engineer's primary goal is to deliver high-quality results while adhering to organizational expectations.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in on-site supervision or site engineering for civil works, including water projects.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering.
  • Strong writing and record-keeping skills.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
  • Valid SafePass card and Confined Spaces training (desired).

Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required for success in this role. Ability to work effectively within a team is vital, along with flexibility regarding travel requirements.
