Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. The role will involve supporting the sales team in client interactions, understanding technical needs and delivering comprehensive solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and interest in robotics and automation, as well as exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. They will be responsible for articulating client requirements effectively and collaborating with engineering and sales teams to accurately price projects.

Responsibilities
  • Gain a thorough understanding of robotic systems and develop modular and flexible automated solutions using Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Aid the sales team in detailed discussions with clients to grasp technical needs, challenges, and pain points. Use AutoCAD to create preliminary 2D machine layouts and assist in crafting detailed technical sales proposals aligned with client specifications.
  • Present immersive visualizations of proposed solutions using 3D design or animations and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate project pricing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical aptitude and interest in robotics and automation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to comprehend and convey technical concepts effectively.
  • Self-driven, results-focused, and enthusiastic about continuous learning.
  • Prior experience in sales or customer-facing positions is advantageous.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset, committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work with ambiguous information and evolving project specifications within tight deadlines.
Software Skills (Plus, not required)
  • Experience with 2D design software plus AutoCAD, DraftSight.
  • Experience with 3D design/modeling software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, CREO, or similar tools.
