Cost Manager for Data Center Construction Projects">

As a senior cost manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of data center construction projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in the tender and bid process, analyzing documentation and ensuring client value for money.
  • Manage change processes, identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes affecting project costs.
  • Analyze tenders and bids to ensure optimal cost management.
  • Assist in preparing and agreeing on final accounts, including claims, to ensure clients receive the best value.
  • Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
  • Oversee project expenditure by creating valuations and cost reports, communicating variations clearly to your team.
  • Support agile project management and decision-making through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
  • Support the resolution of construction disputes and loss and expense claims transparently.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a senior quantity surveyor or cost manager, preferably from a consultancy background.
  • Experience in pre-contract cost management, including budget control, cost planning, and preparing change requests, with knowledge of alternative construction materials.
  • Ideal experience in data center projects or large-scale complex projects.
  • Chartered status or on the path to becoming chartered; we can assist with this.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in project management or construction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines independently.
