You are a highly skilled professional looking for a challenging opportunity as a Senior Fund Accountant. The Quix Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team and contribute to the success of their complex investment funds.

In this role, you will be responsible for portfolio valuation and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, and liaising with investors and investment managers. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will make you an ideal candidate for this position.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

1. Reviewing and understanding the fund's offering memorandum and verifying that it agrees with the fund set up and ensures ongoing operations adhere to its details.
2. Liaising with investment managers, prime brokers, and custodians in relation to trading activity as required for transaction processing and NAV preparation.
3. Calculating the NAV for a portfolio of complex investment funds on either a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis as specified by the client and outlined in the administration agreement.

What You'll Do

You will participate in various tasks, including:

1. Preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Liaising with the fund's auditors at year-end and interim periods to ensure sufficient information is provided for the timely completion of controls testing and substantive work to the auditors' satisfaction.
3. Completing audit confirmation requests as required.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess a university graduate degree with a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent). A minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on complex securities and derivatives products, is also essential. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, are critical for this position.
