We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Haematology Professional to join our team at St. James Hospital. As a Registered Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our acute oncology/haematology service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist nursing care in accordance with the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialist posts.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide a seamless service to patients.
- Triage and manage oncology/haematology patients who present with complications of treatment.
Requirements:
- Be a Registered Nurse/Midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made.
- Have successfully completed a post-registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, that verifies achievement of a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 9 or higher award that is relevant to the specialist area of care.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Nurse Prescribing Registration or willingness to undertake within an agreed timeframe.
- Working knowledge of healthcare patient record systems.
- Experience working in specialized haematology/oncology care.
