The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in category management, buying, or showroom leadership, with expertise in at least one core area such as doors, flooring, bathrooms, or timber.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of assigned product categories, driving sales and profit growth.
- Research and source products that meet customer demand and market trends.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and coordinating promotions.
- Oversee showroom layouts to maximize visual impact and customer interaction.
- Provide technical and design guidance to trade and retail clients.
- Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, and operations teams to deliver cohesive strategies.
- Demonstrable track record in category management, buying, or showroom leadership.
- Strong commercial skills with the ability to hit revenue and margin goals.
- In-depth product knowledge in at least one core area.
- Confident in creating engaging visual merchandising and compelling product displays.
- Relationship-focused approach with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
