Job Title: Junior Account Manager

Salary Range: £26,000 - £30,000 DOE

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and providing technical support to customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Support Senior Account Managers in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and track delivery schedules.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and potential growth areas.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and sales forecasts.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events as required.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for customers on technical product queries and specifications.
  • Work closely with technical and quality teams to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of product specifications and ensure accurate documentation for clients.
  • Assist in coordinating customer audits and handling technical documentation requests.
  • Liaise with production and R&D teams to support product trials and improvements.
  • Ensure smooth communication between customers and internal departments regarding technical concerns or product changes.

Essential Criteria:

  • 1-2 years of experience in account management, customer service, or technical support within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, food safety standards, and compliance regulations (e.g., BRC, HACCP) is highly desirable.
