Refrigeration Technician (HVAC)
About the JobThis role involves ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and reactive maintenance on refrigeration systems, chillers, cold rooms and HVAC units.
- Monitor and maintain environmental conditions in GMP areas.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and control issues related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including maintenance logs, calibration records and compliance reports.
- Support validation and qualification activities for temperature-controlled equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Production and Engineering.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- A trade qualification in Refrigeration, HVAC or Mechanical Engineering is essential.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, biotech or food.
- A strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
