The Global Medical Affairs team at Zoetis EUAFME is seeking an experienced veterinarian to provide best-in-class veterinary medical leadership for the Zoetis parasiticide and biologics portfolios.
This role will involve working across global markets, collaborating with above-market teams and other commercial and operational functions to develop strategic plans that ensure scientific activities deliver unparalleled value to customers and contribute to growth objectives in the Companion Animal (CA) Parasiticide and biologics categories.
The successful candidate will drive excellence in preventatives across the business and ensure delivery of short-, medium-, and long-term medical support plans in Global Operations to meet identified objectives for market development and differentiation of the solutions offered by Zoetis in close alignment with medical and marketing teams across the globe.
Key responsibilities include setting ambition and annual, mid-to-long-term vision for veterinary support solutions in CA preventatives globally, maintaining strong operational relationships with veterinary teams in market to ensure continuous market knowledge development and up-to-date information, developing frameworks and processes for alignment across markets, planning, implementing, and coordinating above-market KOL management plans, leading global representation and messaging strategy to external scientific and clinical stakeholders, and contributing to content marketing asset development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD or equivalent degree), practical experience as a clinical veterinarian (min. 5 years), medical marketing of veterinary products to companion animal veterinarians, extensive capabilities proven in senior medical marketing roles with strategic or operational leadership capabilities gained in highly matrixed organizations, experience leading large-scale complex projects, managing/influencing teams in diverse locations, operating budget management skills, experience working with/leading cross-functional teams in developing/executing technical strategies, programs, and/or tactics, and a proven track record of leading teams through transformation and instilling a strong culture of performance and enthusiasm.
The candidate should also possess good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basics of clinical studies conduct and evaluation of scientific publications, fluency in spoken and written English, and mastering other languages is a plus.
