Junior Project Engineer Role

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with 5+ years' experience in electrical power or energy engineering, or other relevant discipline for transportation systems.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Project Engineer. This role involves working as part of a small core team, drawing on specialists and experts from various disciplines as required.

The successful candidate will assist the Senior Technical Project Manager and other team members with tasks such as electrical power or energy engineering, project management, and contract administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Preliminary design advice in relation to EV charging infrastructure at motorway service areas;
  • Assessments and scheme design of options available for EV charging installations and upgrades;
  • Research into EV charging and alternative fuels technology and providing current and informed advice;
  • Studying electricity grid capacity data to advise on potential electricity supply issues;
  • Energy optimisation initiatives;
  • Service contracts administration and monitoring;
  • Additional ad-hoc advice as may be required.
Requirements:
  • A level-eight qualification in electrical power or energy engineering, or other relevant discipline for transportation systems;
  • 5 years' post-graduate experience in working with infrastructural or energy projects;
  • Strong analytical and numerate skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under minimal supervision;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Good experience and knowledge of project or programme management;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft platform and applications.
Benefits:
  • Contract rate €25-€35 per hour;
  • 12-month renewable contract.
