We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and scaling data infrastructure using modern Python technologies such as Polars and FastAPI. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with large datasets and developing efficient data pipelines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing modern APIs that serve both raw data and AI-generated insights to client-facing web applications.
  • Building and optimizing performant data pipelines using Python, ensuring fast response times and efficient memory usage.
  • Collaborating closely with front-end engineers, product managers, and machine learning engineers to deliver seamless, user-focused features.
  • Implementing API-first architecture practices, with careful attention to schema design, versioning, and documentation.
  • Working across the AWS stack, deploying scalable services that power mission-critical experiences for enterprise users.
  • Contributing to system design decisions, database modeling, and service orchestration to ensure resilient, maintainable back-end systems.
  • Monitoring and tuning application performance, from query speeds to service latency and throughput.

This role requires a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially the AWS stack (Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.). The ideal candidate should be proficient in designing, building, and scaling RESTful APIs (GraphQL experience is a bonus) and have strong knowledge of data performance trade-offs.
