Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is a leading indigenous consultancy specialising in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment, and Energy.

We are seeking an integral member of the Energy and Planning team to work on various projects throughout Ireland.

This role suits candidates with a minimum of five years of experience in ecological consultancy services.

As a Senior Ecologist, you will be exposed to a diverse range of areas within the renewable energy, circular economy, environment and sustainable infrastructure sectors.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage individual contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services
  • Provide expert ecological input for a range of projects
  • Plan, conduct and supervise the execution of site ecological surveys and fieldwork
  • Prepare and monitor the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans
  • Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments (Ec IAs)
  • Write technical reports and other deliverables
  • Manage quality, including attention to detail and accuracy, delivery of contracts on time and to the highest possible standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in ecology or related subject
  • A minimum of five years post-graduate experience
  • Consultancy experience is desirable
  • Member of CIEEM, CIWEM or equivalent professional body
  • Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within Ireland
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Experience in preparing Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments
  • Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills
  • A full, clean driving licence
