Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Shift Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Shift Technician to join our operations team at our flagship industrial facility in Dublin 8. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating a range of utility systems while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain water treatment and wastewater systems, ammonia refrigeration plant, CO2 and nitrogen generation systems, compressed air, cooling towers, steam, and electrical distribution.
  • Perform preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance, identify and repair faults where practicable, and ensure plant performance meets reliability and SLA targets.
  • Apply safe systems of work, including isolations and permit-to-work systems, and use digital systems such as SCADA (Sembyc), CAMMS/SAP, Know How, and email communication tools.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified in Mechanical Fitting or Marine Engineering with at least 5 years' experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
  • Skilled in fault finding and maintenance of gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics, familiar with LV electrical systems and plant instrumentation.
  • Able to work independently during night shifts, applying safe systems of work, reading and acting on plant performance data, and using digital tools and new technologies.
