Key Role: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and performance of our industrial facility's water treatment, wastewater systems, ammonia refrigeration plant, CO2 and nitrogen generation systems, compressed air, cooling towers, steam, and electrical distribution.

  • The successful candidate will operate and maintain these systems to meet SLA targets.
  • Perform preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance, identify faults where practicable, and ensure plant performance meets reliability and service level agreement (SLA) targets.
  • Apply safe systems of work, including isolations and permit-to-work systems, use and maintain digital systems: SCADA, CAMMS/SAP, Know How, and email communication tools.
  • Record and document all maintenance activities, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure accurate reporting.

Essential qualifications include fully qualified Mechanical Fitting or Marine Engineering degree, at least 5 years' industrial experience in a mechanical maintenance role, skilled in fault finding and maintenance of gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and plant instrumentation is also necessary.

This permanent, full-time position involves a rotating 24/7 shift schedule as part of an on-site operations team supporting critical utility services at our flagship industrial facility.
