- Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Implement and maintain safety and compliance standards across all plant activities.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to achieve operational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes and outcomes.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
- Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained and upgraded as required.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
Profile
A successful Plant Manager should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing plant operations within the engineering and manufacturing department. (Clinical waste handling advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyse operational data and implement strategic improvements.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
