
Optical Express Theatre Practitioner Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Theatre Practitioner. This is a dynamic role that requires a high level of flexibility and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for conducting pre-operative assessments, laser vision correction, intraocular lens implantation, anaesthetic assistance, and post-operative care.
- Laser Vision Correction – Scrub: Assist in the delivery of laser eye surgery procedures.
- Intraocular Lens (Cataract) – Scrub: Support the surgical team during cataract removal procedures.
- Anaesthetic assistant: Administer anaesthesia and provide support during surgical procedures.
- Pre-operative assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of patients before surgery to ensure they are suitable candidates.
- Undertake pre-screening diagnostic duties: Perform diagnostic tests and screenings to identify any potential issues.
- Discharge patients with after-care advice and medications: Provide patients with instructions on how to manage their recovery at home.
- Medicines management: Ensure accurate administration and record-keeping of medications.
