Financial Accountant Position Overview

This role is a critical part of the finance function and offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure within a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading month end close activities across multiple entities, ensuring relevant deadlines are met.
  • Preparing various deliverables to support internal and external financial reporting needs, including analytic commentary and supplementary financial analysis for management and stakeholders.
  • Ownership of key GL balance sheet accounts reconciliation, review & analysis – with action driven focus to ensure accruals are appropriate & in line with company policy.
  • Year end and annual audit assistance across the region to ensure a smooth year end.
  • Preparing monthly commission payable for sales teams & associated monthly/ quarterly accruals.
  • Lead point of contact with outsourced payroll providers.
  • Managing intercompany transactions related to employee equity (RSU/ESPP).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong financial accounting background in a multinational environment.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and financial controls across multiple European entities.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Highly organised and structured, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working for US-headquartered companies.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP systems.
