About the Role
\The Goodbody Group is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Head of Financial Risk. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and challenging the active management of financial risks.
\You will own, manage, and maintain all financial risk policies and frameworks, including appropriate limit definitions, calibrations, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). You will also challenge and contribute to the formulation of the firm's Material Risk Assessment and Risk Appetite for all aspects of Financial Risk.
\Key Responsibilities
\- Owning and managing financial risk policies and frameworks
- Challenging and contributing to risk assessments and risk appetite formulations
- Maintaining ongoing monitoring and assessment of the firm's financial risk profile
- Delivering clear and consistent reporting on the firm's financial risk profile and emerging risks
- Engaging business units to promote clear risk ownership with robust risk management
Requirements
\- Significant experience in 2nd line financial risk roles with expertise in capital markets trading, quantitative risk measurement techniques, and risk management processes
- Experience in ICAAP/ICARAP, financial risk modeling, Fidessa, and Bloomberg is an advantage
- 10 years of professional experience in Financial Services
