Job Title: Production Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Production Specialist to join our team in Swords for a 12 month contract.
About the Role:
This is a shift role working on a four-shift cycle supporting a 24/7 manufacturing organisation. As a Production Specialist, you will be responsible for all tasks associated with the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and the operation of an API plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executing chemical handling and preparation procedures to manufacture chemical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
- The setup and monitoring of equipment used for batch manufacturing and cleaning.
- Supporting Operational Excellence initiatives and other departmental projects as required.
- Ensuring the plant is maintained in an audit-ready state and that operations are executed in a safe manner and to expected cGMP standards.
- Participating on site emergency response teams.
- The utilisation of business systems for real-time data entry and transactions within the shift.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a science discipline, or equivalent experience (4+ years) in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience with APIs/small molecules is highly valued.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently without close supervision.
