Real-Time Data Systems Engineer Opportunity

An experienced Data Systems Engineer is needed to design, implement and support real-time operational data solutions in high-compliance manufacturing environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and deploying real-time data infrastructure components including asset frameworks, data interfaces/connectors and visualization tools.
  • Integrating real-time data platforms with existing industrial control systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs and other OT/IT systems.
  • Developing and maintaining asset models and analytics to provide actionable insights for operations and business stakeholders.
  • Building and managing operational dashboards and reports for plant and management teams.
  • Performing upgrades, system maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and data integrity.
  • Supporting data governance, security and quality standards across real-time data systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Providing training and documentation to ensure effective system adoption.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in real-time industrial data systems design, configuration and support.
  • Strong experience with data infrastructure platforms used for time-series data collection and visualization in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Proficiency in building asset models, dashboards and data integrations with industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.).
  • Background working in regulated industries, such as pharmaceuticals or other GxP environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or VBScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills.
